[FKL] Rhys Byron - Audio Response 15 (MP3)
Rhys Byron shares the weekly FM show Audio Response with our fellow FKLer D’Arcy and shares with us the latest edition of the show for our listening pleasure. Audio Response can be heard every Sunday Night at 10PM on Bay FM 99.9 (Northern NSW) or online at the same time…once again. Well it seems the electro boat has not only sailed but is slowly sinking out to sea and people are clinging on to disco for dear life as the ‘next big thing’. I think it may be something a little housier like the US garage of the 90’s and then there is no ignoring the urban influences creeping in, as producers like MSTRKRFT push that sound. Whatever it may be i am enjoying the disco and there is a lot of it popping up. Brazillian’s Database have dropped a free EP of disco re-edits by them and some of their mates (Bo$$ In Drama & The Twelves) the best of which i have showcased in this weeks program . You can get the whole EP over on their myspace page. Herve gets a berth on the show 3 weeks running, making good on Bloc Party’s terrible song Mercury. And if were talking about urban influences it doesn’t get better than ‘When Da Last Time’ pretty sure its a bootleg but the crookers are on point once again. - Rhys Byron D’Arcy has advised that any producers in The Foundation community that are looking to have their track played on Audio Response should just drop him a line. Sounds like a great opportunity! The Foundation presents: Audio Response 15 mixed by Rhys Byron -tracklisting- 1. Amy Winehouse - Tears Dry On Their Own (New Young Pony Club Remix) 2. GB2 Sundrops Sessions 11.2 - DJ Möet on FKL (MP3)
FKL Ambassador, Pascal Dupuy a.k.a DJ Moet a.k.a Big Daddy Blue Dragon has got quite a treat for us this week. Not one but TWO reinvigorating, sharp as obsidian razorblades mixes, that’s not only the perfect way to start the week with, it’s also happens to be superbly awesome! Hour 1 sucks you in with the almost hypnotic combo of the Chem Bros and Regurgitator before 30hz and Yolanda rips your face off with the woofer abusing Daddido. Our mixologist then continues his brilliant cuts in and out of some truly anthemic tunes, with the likes of Drumattic Twins and Far Too Loud amongst others. Then we got Hour 2. I really don’t want to give away too much. All I can say is, be prepared for the fluid rich aural orgasms from the likes of Steve Lawler, Paradox 3000, Deekline and many more. A perfect blend of beats, bass and booyah!
Genres: blends, breakbeat, breakcore, breaks, electro, electronica, funk, hip hop, house, minimal, oldschool, vinylslut
