Together (A song for Haiti) (HTML)
My boy Mike the Math Teacher is back again with his talented class of kids at HSRA (high school for the recording arts). And this time they have put together a great heart-felt song dedicated to those suffering in Haiti. This song strikes the right emotional note for the current crisis. And it feels a great deal more appropriate than the over-hyped MTV benefit. Check this video for the song out and PLEASE share this with anyone you know who would appreciate this!

Ginz - Data Transmission no 59 (MP3)
The Purple Wow Sound? Okay I love sub-sub-micro-genres as much as anybody but is this for real? Take a click and listen.... I'll wait for you to scope out the first track on this mix. WTF is that? X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X-X That is the PURPLE WOW SOUND, MAN! ok I'm hooked. Ginz originally from the US has moved to Bristol UK to get his sound out there in the burgeoning dubstep scene. Kind of like a UK DJ Screw crossed with a bit of the edgier fwd thinking dubstep. Really off-kilter beats combined with huge keyboard stabs and sloppy bass line madness. Sheesh... Oh yeah and BIG UP Ben G at Data Transmission for keeping the quality blends flowing!
Genres: dubstep, freak out, funk, purple wow sound

Blentcast no.11 - N-Ron Hubbard (MP3)
Blentwell's eleventh Podcast radio show devoted to bringing exclusive mixes to you from the best new DJs around the world. This episode is brought to us from a long time favorite of the Blentwell crew - DJ R-Ron Hubbard. After gaining much attention online with his early "No Crease Walk" mixtape since then he has been one to watch. N-Ron got in touch with us while in Brazil recording with local rappers and DJs as well as Blentcast no1-alum Maga Bo. This mix goes all over the map but keeps the beats dancefloor friendly - keep an ear out for some well placed mashups, dope Cumbia beats, booming Baile funk and more N-Ron bizness.
Genres: baile funk, cumbia, dancehall, electro, electronic, mash-up
Stanton Warriors - Vol 3 promo mix (MP3)
Dunno about you - but the first Stanton Session mix was pretty much one of the best mixes ever. It kinda came out of the musical ether in 2001 and reinstated my faith in breaks. Now fast fwd to 2008 and aside from the good (but not great) Stanton Sessions v2 we have not heard from those mixing maestros. Not sure if v3 is gonna be like the first one but this promo mix certain bodes well! Check it out - crank it up and brock out!
Genres: breakbeat, breaks, hip-hop
