I Hate Dave Rape (MP3)

Born and Raised In Los Angeles, he is a self proclaimed addict to vinyl records and clothes. He also "loves the ladies." His love for the "scene" began at the tender age of 12 when older peers would take him to "Day Parties" skipping school and dancing to all the old undergound hits like "Who is Elvis", "Some Lovin'" & "Fire Alarm" to name a few. This caused him to take trips to the now gone DMC RECORD store on melrose to buy those oh so tasty House, Techno and Hardcore mixtapes that he would play loud as fuck every afternoon on his portable boombox. He has been collecting records and dj'ing since about 97', having spun all kinds of electronic genres such as Dutch Happy Gabber, UK Happy Hardcore, Old School Techno, Classic Deep House. He has traveled the United States spinning under the name BUDDY BLUE and deemed the "Prince of Happy Gabber" for his incredibly ridiculous collection. Around 2000 he decided to start focusing on collecting Nu-Electro,Techno and House records and added the name DAVE RAPE as a new alias. He has played at countless of raves, "Hollywood" parties, art gallery openings, fashion shows & for many high profile Los Angeles promoters and alongside some of the best Electro-Techno-House dj's the scene has to offer. Some of his favorite producers at the moment are Vitalic, Jaques Lu Cont , Green Velvet, MstrKrft & Soulwax. He is known for his support of all the different electronic music scenes in Los Angeles without hesitating to shake his ass from a strict house event to a Electro-Clash freak fest and even to a Hard as Nails Techno Ho-down. You can catch him playing at many of the local Electro, Techno and House Clubs in Los Angeles and abroad. He has many mixes available for download.
