		<link>http://www.foundationkl.org/2008/12/17/fklexpansion-artihc-patiens-003/</link>
<description>Our next Expansion participant hails from the island of Singapore. Firman Chitra a.k.a Artihc has been DJ-ing for the past 8 years with the motivation to “create a singular experience for the ears, feet, mind, body &amp; soul” and can be found regularly dropping beats at the Supperclub(SG) with our very own EJ .

‘Patiens’ is presented very much like a tapestry of minimalistic tunes that are surtured together with delicate, pin-point accuracy and progressively bound by elements that are deep, techy and downright pulsating to the bone. The overall hypnoticism is further enhanced by tunes from the likes of Dubfire, Steve Lawler, Thomas Schumacher, Cirez D and Format B. This is a set that is made to imbue and infuse and it does it well.

So, download away and remember to leave us your thoughts. As with our other Expansion participants, stats for ‘Patiens’ will be monitored for a period of one week.

<description>Brace yourselves. Dj Trashcutter is our next Expansion participant and he has come out with all guns blazing. Blasting some big noise out of Germany, our mixologist packs a huge sonic wallop with ‘Trashcutz 003′. This vinyl enthusiast is also a bit of a tease, progressively building up and dutifully blowing your socks off towards the end. <title>[FKL][Expansion] DJ Evo - This Is Love [001] (HTML→MP3)</title>
		<link>http://www.foundationkl.org/2008/12/09/fklexpansion-dj-evo-this-is-love-001/</link>
<description>Dj Evo steps up as our first Expansion participant. This freelance dancer cum DJ gives us a dose of euphoric trance, something we haven’t had on The Foundation in a while come to think of it, with ‘This Is Love’. Here’s a little blurb about the boy:

“Starting at the age of 16, DJ Evo was exposed to new sounds after his first few visits to clubs in KL. He begain to collect Hard Trance and produce mixsets on his computer. Successfully producing his first mixset entitled ‘Resonance’ he moved to slower genre - Trance with lots of vocals. DJ Evo has made appearances in alot of small parties and a couple of clubs in Johor. His guest mix entitled ‘This Is Love’ also appear on Radio Kul episode 057.”

Though not a particularly long set (just over 30 mins), it gives one an idea of the sounds that inspire DJ Evo and it includes heavyweight numbers from Armin Van Buuren, ATB and Above &amp; Beyond.

Give the mix a listen and leave us your thoughts. Remember the number of responses are also an integral part of the final tally that will decide the winners of the Expansion. Stats will be monitored for a period of one week.

Let’s kick this into high gear!

<description>We haven’t heard from Zaskar in a while but, oh boy, was the wait worth it. Our maestro of all things minimal and micro delivers yet another killer set, this time with ‘Bunohan’.

Showcasing explicitly precise mixing techniques, homeboy has fabricated one heck of set that weaves together an intricate collection of minimal tech and microhouse tunes from the likes of Luciano &amp; Mirko, Marc Antona, Jorge Savoretti and Gernot Lange; filled with all the pulsating, throbbing yummyness one can expect from Zaskar’s sets.

Personal favourite moment? Fergie’s sick rework of King Unique’s ‘Hinode’. Absolutely blistering drop.

		<title>[FKL] lectropop - DJ Spyhunter (HTML→MP3)</title>
		<link>http://www.foundationkl.org/2008/11/26/fkl-lectropop-dj-spyhunter/</link>
<description>DJ Spyhunter sounds like a character out of something Ian Fleming would’ve written, and though a UK native, the only thing this cat has a license to kill is the dancefloor massive! I first encountered a Spyhunter mixtape, as in tape cassette…, back in the mid 1990’s and even then he was pioneering the blend of styles such as trance, progressive and funky breaks, that is his signature today. At the time he was breaking in the Hawaii club scene and has since relocated to San Francisco where his modern day incarnation has incorporated more of the electro house movement.

I ran across quite a tasty set of his recently called “lectropo” that is a must download! With cuts from the likes of Black Daniel, Alex Metric, Digitalism, Sneaky Sound System, Teki Latex, and Daft Punk, “lectropop” is guarunteed to make you want to pop and lock. In Spyhunter’s own words :”strobing white vocals, blinding neon filters, held together with pixelated hooks. this is the party that goes on in the alley between the breaks club and the indie pop dive. just watch out for the cops! ”

<title>[FKL] Vidda Vein - Made In Theta (HTML→MP3)</title>
		<link>http://www.foundationkl.org/2008/10/10/fkl-vidda-vein-made-in-theta/</link>
<description>Theta Rhythms: One of several characteristic electroencephalogram (EEG) waveforms associated with various sleep and wakefulness states of the brain, between 4 and 8 Hz and involve many neurons firing synchronously in the hippocampus and through the cortex. These rhythms are associated with spatial navigation and some forms of memory and learning, especially in the temporal lobes.
First of all “Made In Theta” is not going to make you sleep. Not by a long shot. In fact, it sucks at making anyone sleep.

Why? Because it’s Vidda Vein returning to The Foundation with this astounding amalgamation of deep-electro-tech-funk awesomeness that takes the listener from floor-filling mosh mayhem to vivid dream-like introspection and hypnotism. And then blowing the roof and most of your clothes / brains off.

How the hell could you sleep through all that?

“Made In Theta” shows why this boy is one exciting talent booming out of Florida. This energy-ball of a mixset features some deep cuts as well mainroom ballsy-ness from the likes of Dada Life, Frederic De Carvalho &amp; Tristy Nesh, Streetlife DJs, Giacomotto, Popof and Kid Blue.

		<description>Dark Moon Rising: The Recordings.

I can finally say it. I was at an Epic Tribe event! The dark moon proved no match for colossal expulsion of energy that emanated from Palate Palette that night.

Featuring the blistering talents of Oddicon, Proxy Metatron, Yzdar and thesuperglo, The Epic Tribe showed why it is KL’s premier Psytrance movement with a barrage of sonic assaults, blasting everyone with quasar like forces.

I can’t wait for the next one. - Source Site:http://foundationkl.org</description>
